José O’Neill Teixeira, born in Serpa in 1998, works under the artistic name Lacortei. He has developed a diverse portfolio in illustration and collage, available through digital platforms and prints. Over the years, he has collaborated with musicians, creating artworks for posters, merchandise, and album covers. Fascinated by Gauguin’s work, he values composition, line, and flat colours. For him, texture is emotion. He studied Illustration and Graphic Production at ESAD (Caldas da Rainha) and specialised in Digital Illustration at LSD (Porto).
